We only use personal information where it is necessary to provide and manage the service, communicate with members, or comply with our legal obligations.---4. Google services and Google user dataThe Chemistry Society uses Google services, including Google Drive and Gmail, to provide parts of the membership service.When a member joins, we may use their email address to give them access to the appropriate Chemistry Society Google Drive resources.The Chemistry Society's automated email system uses the Gmail API to send welcome and membership-related emails from the Naomi the Chemist Gmail account.The Gmail API permission used by the email-sending system is:gmail.sendThis permission is used solely to send emails that are part of providing and managing the Chemistry Society service.We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell Google user data, or use Google user data to develop or train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.Google user data is not transferred to third parties except where necessary to provide the functionality of the Chemistry Society service or where required by law.---5. Google Drive accessFor members who are given access to Chemistry Society resources stored in Google Drive, their email address is used to grant access to the relevant member folder.When a membership ends, we may remove the member's direct access to the relevant Chemistry Society Google Drive resources.Members should not share their access with other people or use member resources for anyone who is not entitled to access them.---6. Payment informationMembership payments are processed by Stripe.We do not store your full card number, security code or other complete payment-card details.Stripe processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms.---7. Sharing your informationWe do not sell or rent your personal information.We may share or process information with service providers where this is necessary to operate the Chemistry Society, including services used for:* Payment processing

MembershipBy subscribing to the Chemistry Society, you agree to these Terms of Service.Membership provides access to the resources and services included in the membership tier you select at the time of subscription.Different membership tiers may include different benefits, resources, live sessions or one-to-one teaching.---14. Membership tiersThe Chemistry Society may offer different membership tiers, including Core, Plus and Premium.The benefits included with each tier are described on the Chemistry Society website at the time you subscribe.We reserve the right to update the content or structure of membership benefits where reasonably necessary, while taking care not to remove a significant benefit without appropriate notice.---15. One-to-one lessonsPlus and Premium memberships may include one-to-one chemistry lessons.One-to-one lessons are normally arranged as recurring weekly or fortnightly sessions at an agreed regular time.The purpose of this arrangement is to provide members with a consistent teaching slot and to allow the Chemistry Society to manage teaching availability.If a member needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, they should provide as much notice as reasonably possible.Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to the cancellation arrangements communicated to the member.---16. Live sessions and office hoursThe Chemistry Society may provide live problem-solving sessions, office hours and other live educational activities.Live sessions may have limited capacity.The current timetable and availability will be communicated through the Chemistry Society website and member resources.---17. Educational resourcesChemistry Society resources are provided for the personal educational use of the member.Members must not:* Share paid member resources with people who are not members
* Copy or redistribute substantial parts of the Chemistry Society's paid content
* Sell or commercially redistribute Chemistry Society resources
* Give other people access to their member-only resources
You may use the resources for your own study and educational purposes.---18. Intellectual propertyUnless otherwise stated, the Chemistry Society's lessons, worksheets, tutorials, written materials, videos and other original educational content remain the intellectual property of Naomi the Chemist or the relevant rights holder.Your membership gives you permission to access and use these materials for your personal educational purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the materials to you.---19. Subscriptions and paymentsMembership is provided on a subscription basis unless otherwise stated.The price of your membership is shown before you complete your purchase.Your subscription will continue according to the billing arrangement applicable to the membership you selected until it is cancelled.Payments are processed securely by Stripe.---20. CancellationYou may cancel your membership in accordance with the cancellation arrangements provided by the Chemistry Society.When a membership is cancelled, access to member-only resources may be removed when the membership period ends.Where appropriate, access to Google Drive resources may also be removed automatically when the membership ends.---21. Changes to the serviceWe may occasionally need to change the timetable, teaching availability, resources, platforms or other aspects of the Chemistry Society.Where a change significantly affects an existing member's paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.---22. Acceptable useYou agree to use the Chemistry Society appropriately and respectfully.We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where a member:* Shares paid resources without permission
* Attempts to gain unauthorised access to member resources
* Misuses the service or its systems
* Harasses or abuses Naomi the Chemist or other members
* Uses the service for unlawful purposes
Where appropriate, we will provide notice before terminating access.---23. DisclaimerThe Chemistry Society provides educational materials and tuition designed to support chemistry learning.We do not guarantee any particular examination result, grade or academic outcome.Students remain responsible for their own study, revision and examination preparation.---24.
